Every restaurant on the Kitzsteinhorn is as unique as every snow crystal. The cuisine is so rich in variety – from the café-bar by the valley terminal at 900 m, to Salzburg´s highest restaurant, the Gipfel Restaurant, at 3.029 metres. There is everything the heart desires - a variety of breakfasts, international classical cuisine, traditional Austrian fare and home-made cakes from the Kitzsteinhorn confectionery.
Local and home-made
The Kitzsteinhorn restauranteurs give special attention to local dishes made from high quality products from the region. For example, the beer cheese for the legendary „Kaspress-Knödel“ comes from the Pinzgauer Molkerei and Aubauer from Zell am See, the beef for juicy entrecôtes comes from local butchers, the „Wild-Burger“ in the Gipfel Restaurant at 3.029m is made from local venison, only Austrian apples are used for apple strudel, only fresh eggs in „Kaiserschmarrn“ and sweet delights from our own pastry shop.
