On-Piste Ski Touring on the Maiskogel
The pistes and infrastructure of the Maiskogel are primarily intended for skiers and snowboarders who ride up the mountain by lift. However, ski tourers are allowed to use the pistes of the Maiskogel between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m, on Wednesdays until 8 p.m. Ski tourers do so at their own risk and must obey the piste rules shown below.
Local bylaws prohibit any use of the pistes whatsoever from Thursday until Tuesday between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. of the following day and on Wednesday between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. of the following day.

Always comply with warning signs, localized restrictions and closures

Only climb the slope in single file using the edge of the piste

Use extreme caution near crests of hills, bottlenecks, steep and icy sections, and whenever you are crossing the piste

Only cross the piste where you can be clearly seen, maintaining plenty of distance between skiers behind and in front of you

Dogs are not permitted on the pistes

Ski tourers must obey the 10 FIS Rules of the Pistes
