Austrian cuisine …
Local products freshly cooked in an alpine atmosphere with friendly dignified table service. The cuisine capitalises on local authenticity - Pinzgau „Kasnocken“ in the pan, traditional Wiener schnitzel and seasonal specialities, as well as highlights from Austrian confectionary.
The wine menu offers a large choice of quality wines, especially from Austrian wine growers. There is also a focus on beer specialities: the „typically Austrian restaurant“ spoils its guests with Stiegl´s art of high quality brewing. Stiegl is a renowned Austrian private brewery. The Gletschermühle also has a new wind- and weather protected sun terrace with magnificent views over the mountains and valley.
This restaurant, at an altitude of 2.450m, has been chosen as one of the special mountain restaurants and ski huts in Land Salzburg, which belong to the „Via Culinaria – Genussweg für Hüttenhocker“. There is a special Via Culinaria dish every season – let yourself be suprised.
The architecture of the restaurant has been modelled on a natural glacial mill or moulin – conchoidal hollows created by glacial erosion and water from melted snow. Thick natural stone walls and cosy larch wood panelling give it a comfortable atmosphere.
Every Sunday traditional roasted pork with dumplings and sauerkraut.

Specialities from the stone grill, alpenhorn blowers, starry sky and a cosy evening at the Gletschermühle restaurant – the new Mystic Mountain BBQ Night on the Kitzsteinhorn is a delight for all senses. Dates for 2018 to be announced.
