Journey to the beneficial world of alpine herbs through four climate zones

On three Fridays in July, a graduate herbal medicine practitioner accompanies little and big nature lovers on a unique herbs hike.

From the moderate zone in Kaprun all the way up to the arctic glacier ice on the Kitzsteinhorn, it's about collecting herbs at different spots and learning all kids of interesting facts about and handy tips on their processing, effect and use.

Equipment

Hike-appropriate cloting incl. rainwear, sunglasses and sunscreen, sturdy shoes, a backpack and sth. to drink

  • Duration: approx. 5 hours
  • Costs: € 15 pp. (lift ticket not included)

Program

  • Ascent with the MK Maiskogelbahn, collecting first herbs near the top station
  • Spectacular panoramic ride with the 3K K-onnection over the boreal coniferous forest to the treeline at Langwied, collecting more herbs
  • Tasty snack
  • Ascent to the summit station incl. more stops
  • Stroll through the "National Park Gallery" info tunnel
  • Tour ends at one of the most popular photo point at 3,000 m with a view of the Hohe Tauern National Park
