Embark on a Mystical Journey into the Heart of the Kitzsteinhorn

On the TOP OF SALZBURG panorama platform, you meet your guide – a real Ranger from the Hohe Tauern National Park. Together, you head into the mountain. With every step through the mystical, 360-m-long National Park Gallery info tunnel, you feel the glacier’s heartbeat. At six stations, the Ranger gives fascinating insights into the history, technology, natural treasures, flora and fauna of the Kitzsteinhorn and the Hohe Tauern National Park. At the end of the Gallery, another breathtaking highlight awaits: The National Park Gallery panorama platform  offers spectacular views of the unspoiled mountain landscape of the national park. To the south, you can even see the Grossglockner – Austria’s highest mountain.

Top tip › Get ready for the tour with a visit to Cinema 3000, Austria’s highest-situated movie theater. Featuring stunning footage, the film “Kitzsteinhorn – THE NATURE” presents the unique landscapes, flora, and fauna of the Kitzsteinhorn. The movie theater is located on the ground floor of the summit station, and the film plays throughout the day.
