Free ski bus to the Kitzsteinhorn 

With a valid ski pass, you can use the free ski bus service within Kaprun and from the surrounding towns to the Kitzsteinhorn during the cable car operating hours. That's not only convenient, but above all environmentally friendly. Let's make a positive impact on our carbon footprint together.

Overview 

  • Free use of all ski busses with a valid ski pass during cable car operating hours
  • Within the town of Kaprun, the use of ski busses is free for everyone (also without a ski pass)
  • Ski busses run from Zell am See, Kaprun, Bruck-Fusch & Piesendorf-Niedernsill ↔ Kitzsteinhorn, Maiskogel & Lechnerberg
  • Postbus lines 660, D and K operated as ski busses

Ski bus regulations in the ALPIN CARD ticket alliance

Holders of a valid Ski Alpin Card have the opportunity to use the ski busses within the following town and connections free of charge:

  • Kaprun
  • Zell am See
  • Saalbach Hinterglemm
  • Viehhofen
  • Leogang
  • Fieberbrunn
  • Zell am See ↔ Kaprun
  • Saalbach Hinterglemm ↔ Viehhofen
  • Fieberbrunn ↔ Leogang (only peak season)
  • Leogang ↔ Saalfelden

Moreover, transit between the Schmittenhöhe and the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is carried out by a ski bus shuttle system as well as via the bus line 680 from the zellamseeXpress valley station in Viehhofen or the Schönleiten Schönleitenbahn in Saalbach (rides every 5 to 10 minutes).

Exceptions: The ski bus between Leogang and Fieberbrunn is operated only during peak season. There is no transit between Saalbach Hinterglemm and Leogang, between Saalbach Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn, as well as between Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and Zell am See-Kaprun.
