When ice, art, and engineering meet on the Kitzsteinhorn, something truly unique takes shape: On a sun-drenched plateau 2,600 meters above sea level, three igloos conceal one of the Alpine region's most remarkable works of art.

The ICE CAMP is art that lives for a season. It invites you to slow down, see the world from a new angle, and find your way into conversation.

Summit Meeting, Mondo Tondo & U-Turn
Ice and snow sculptures, light installations, and soundscapes come together each year to tell a new, captivating story. The team led by Chris Geissler and Andy Tremschnig builds the three domed chambers; artist and sculptor Max Seibald develops the concept and shapes the design. Together, they aim to convey meaningful messages and, through partly interactive elements, spark greater awareness.

A round ice table invites you to a Summit Meeting for dialogue and equality; Mondo Tondo brings cultural perspective and intercultural understanding to life; U-Turn is an invitation to make the necessary change in direction.

"presented by Audi" since 2012
For more than a decade, Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG has brought ICE CAMP to life in a long standing partnership with Audi Austria. Since 2012, one of the three igloos has provided an exceptional stage for a selected Audi model. In line with Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG's decarbonization initiative, the spotlight in 2026 is on the Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron.
Easy to Reach
ICE CAMP is open to visit and experience until around mid-April. Snow sport enthusiasts can reach it easily via the slopes, while winter hikers can follow the signed ICE CAMP Trail starting at the Alpincenter (about a 30-min walk). In front of the igloos, the Sun Deck with Snack Bar invites to relax with lounge chairs and lounge music. From March 14 to April 4, the ICE CAMP Sounds event series takes place here every Saturday with live acts.
