Giant slalom & golf tournament

The championship kicked off on May 7 with the giant slalom at Kitzsteinhorn, 3,000 meters above sea level, under top-notch conditions. Top ski racer and Zell am See-Kaprun ambassador Sam Maes took an early lead with more than a two-second advantage. Over the following days, he successfully defended his position on the golf course, securing the 2025 World Champion title. On the women’s side, Germany’s Antje Heissel repeated her victory from the previous year. The women’s podium was completed by Tina Sophia Honnef (SUI) and Sophie Dekker (NED), while Michael Vonbank (AT) and local hero Alexander Heitzmann from Zell am See (AT) rounded out the men’s top three.
