NATURE. CULTURE. CULINARY DELIGHTS.

Summit Sounds 2026

A day filled with traditional music, regional specialties, and Alpine nature experiences: On July 5, "Summit Sounds" brought together nature, culture, and culinary delights at Kitzsteinhorn.

THE SOUND OF THE KITZ

On the TOP OF SALZBURG panoramic platforms at 3,029 meters, as well as at other selected viewpoints, numerous guests enjoyed the impressive performances by the "Uttendorfer Alphornbläser", "Brucker Alphornklang", and "Hochkönig Alphornbläser". Meanwhile, the "Die Sumpfpitzinga" from Maishofen entertained visitors around Gletschermühle Restaurant with their fresh, lively take on traditional "Tanzlmusi".

CULINARY DELIGHTS & CRAFTSMANSHIP

The region's diversity was also on delicious display at the Gletschermühle Restaurant: Schultes Butcher Shop, Katschner Bakery, and the Augut and Hauserbauer farms invited guests to taste and enjoy house-smoked meats, house-distilled spirits, and freshly baked goods at their food stands. The program also featured a late-morning get-together and a lunch special from the Gletschermühle kitchen, along with sales stands offering handmade "MÜ" spice mills and ceramics from "Dorftöpferei".
