How it works

For your smartphone ticket to work, you need the Zell am See-Kaprun app.

Please note: Not all devices support the smartphone ticket.

Limitations exist, particularly with Huawei, OnePlus, Oppo, and similar devices. You can perform a device check in the Zell am See-Kaprun app.

Buy your smartphone ticket easily and conveniently in our online shop.

After successfully purchasing the smartphone ticket online, you will receive a confirmation email. This email contains a download link or QR code for your smartphone ticket. As soon as you tap the link or scan the QR code, the Zell am See-Kaprun app will open automatically, and the ticket will be loaded into the app.

Grant the Zell am See-Kaprun app permission to access your location and enable your Bluetooth.

To activate your ticket in the Zell am See-Kaprun app, open the app and go to the Wallet. Select your ticket and tap the red switch labeled “Ticket deactivated”. Once you toggle the switch, your ticket will be activated. Keep the app running in the background.

With these settings, your smartphone ticket is ready to use. Ideally, keep your smartphone in your left chest pocket – this way, the turnstile can detect your ticket most reliably. If you prefer to store your smartphone elsewhere, just make sure to point the pocket toward the reader panel at the turnstile.

Useful tips

Activate your ticket in the app

For your smartphone ticket to work in the key2ski app, make sure that

  • Bluetooth is turned on
  • the Zell am See-Kaprun app is granted location permission
  • the app remains open in the background
  • turn off power-saving mode

Tip: To save battery life on your smartphone, you can deactivate your ticket during your break and at the end of your ski day and reactivate it before your next day on the slopes. Always keep your battery charged – if it falls below 30%, recharge it or ask the staff for assistance.

Wear your smartphone on the left

For the turnstile to detect the smartphone ticket quickly, it's necessary to wear the smartphone on the left side of the body, ideally in the left chest pocket.

Please note: The turnstile detectors are specifically programmed for this position. In case the turnstile does not detect your smartphone ticket after a few seconds, turn the body part where your smartphone is stored in the direction of the detector.

Important: Remove old key cards from your jacket to avoid interference.
Some phone cases can block the signal – if necessary, remove the case.
